Kellie Martin is an American film, television and stage actress. Her most notable parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy"; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Also, Kellie is well-known as the main character on the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin is the daughter of a department-store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her career in acting when she was seven when her aunt who served as an nanny for Michael Landon's children assisted Martin get a part in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". She began acting professionally following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industry. Martin, who is an actor as well as an accomplished photographer and dancer has been working in the field for the past twenty years. Martin is also a mom of two, and also the face of Lupus. After her 19 year old sister's passing, Martin has worked to raise awareness about Lupus and its symptoms.
